to see my contribution to the fourth edition of Dissections. Dissections is a new international horror and dark fantasy e-journal that provides a rich opportunity for academics, critics and creative writers and artists to publish alongside each other. They welcome essays on 20th and 21st century horror and dark fantasy, including film, fiction and images. They also publish some short creative fiction, poetry and artwork. Dissections is peer-reviewed and ‘published’ twice yearly.

'Lost Horizons' exhibition and launch of 'Work for a Living', towner, Eastbourne

On Friday 3 April the new Towner art gallery opened in Eastbourne.

Alongside five other artists I am showing new work commissioned by towner and made in collaboration with others under the name 'Work for a Living'.  The exhibition is called 'Lost Horizons' and features responses to outreach projects carried out in the local community. It runs from 4 April to 7 June 09.

'Work for a Living' is an experiment, a name to be used for work made to commission and distinct from studio-based work.

Around Photography - APEC Open Studios

On the weekends of 25 & 26 October and 1 & 2 November 12 - 6pm APEC artists will be showing work reflecting our various connections with photography.

I will be showing work arising from my residency at Fabrica and my engagement with Thomas Hirschhorn's work 'The Incommensurable Banner'.

Residency as artist animateur at Fabrica

From 3 October to 16 November I am artist animateur in residence at Fabrica Gallery, Brighton. Working alongside a new piece of work called 'The Incommensurable Banner' by the Swiss artist Thomas Hirschhorn, I have been invited by Liz Whitehead and Matthew Miller, the co-directors of Fabrica to approach this role very much from the point of view of my own practice. As well as considering my own dialogue with Hirschhorn's work, this role requires me to interact with visitors to the exhibition. I have decided to collect their responses to Hirschhorn's work, which I am publishing alongside my own thoughts on a blog on Projects Unedited on the a-n website at:
